Liturgical Ministries
Greeter
The greeter is there with a smile and handshake for everyone who enters our doors. They are attentive to our out-of-town visitors as well as parishioners with special needs.
Usher
Ushers help find seats for worshippers, especially those arriving late. They take up the collection, organize the offertory procession, hand out bulletins after Mass and do other needed tasks.
Altar Server
Servers assist the priest during Mass. This ministry is open to children in Grade 4 and older, as well as adults. Training is provided.
Lector
Lectors proclaim God's Word during Mass and share the general intercessions and announcements. Training and resource books for preparation provided.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
These parishioners assist in the distribution of the Eucharist at Mass and to those who can't attend. A deep belief in and respect for the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is necessary. This ministry requires nomination by the pastor and appointment by the bishop, followed by special training. It is open to fully initiated Catholics age 16 or older.
Please contact the office at (641) 947-4981 if you are interested in becoming at Liturgical Minister.
